ARTBO, the arts program of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá has organized ARTBO | International Art Fair of Bogotá since 2004. The fair has become a key platform for cultural exchange and research.

During four days, the fair brings together national and international galleries, curators, artists, and artworks in different formats and media, providing the public with one of the country’s most important cultural showcases for the visual arts. maintaining its careful thoughtful selection of galleries and its unique model of both commercial and non-commercial sections. It is one of the most important platforms for cultural exchange and research, and its focus on quality and diversity has positioned it as one of the most refreshing and cutting-edge perspectives within the art fair circuit, and as the focal point for the arts in Colombia.

«Let us pretend that this exhibition existed at a time when it was necessary to get out of categories »: this is how the curatorial text of this section begins that showed works by artists, mainly Latin Americans, and especially Colombians, who transformed art formats during the decades of the sixties, seventies and eighties. This year a tour of the themes and media explorations that were carried out with a spirit of rupture and that can still be traced in contemporary art was proposed. Referents was in charge of the curator Pablo León de la Barra (Mexico) who worked together with Ericka Flórez (Colombia). ARTBO
