Place: ArcoMadrid, Madrid Date: 2017, 2018
ARCOmadrid is Madrid’s International Contemporary Art Fair. It is one of the main contemporary art fairs on the international circuit and is held every February in the Spanish capital.
ARCOmadrid 2020 presented a careful selection of national and international galleries, under the General Programme as well as in the curated sections: Dialogues, lead by Agustín Pérez-Rubio and Lucia Sanromán; Opening, lead by Tiago de Abreu Pinto and Övül ö. Durmusoglu and It's Just a Matter of Time lead by Alejandro Cesarco, Mason Leaver-Yap and Manuel Segade in the discursive program.
Along with the contents of the galleries, ARCOmadrid presented other spaces that helped broaden visitors' vision of contemporary art.
“Another of the Kings' stops, on this occasion of the first ones, has been at the stand of the Leon Tovar New York gallery, where the American ambassador, Richard Duke Buchan, was also waiting for them, with whom they have been talking for some time. The Colombian gallery owner León Tovar has indicated that the interests of the sovereigns have been directed towards the work of the artist Jorge Riveros, sculptor and painter who has lived for many years in Germany, and of the plastic artist Carmelo Ander Quin. "They are quite nice and have shown a lot of interest," said Tovar, who already received the visit of Baroness Thyssen last Wednesday.” Source: europapress.es
